Your contribution!

Reporting to the Director Real Estate, we are seeking a Real Estate Title Manager to join our team. Your experience, your ability to read and interpret legal and real estate documents, your ability to work on several projects at the same time, your meticulousness and communication skills will make you the ideal candidate.

Your day-to-day!

  • Order, review, and analyze title commitments and surveys;
  • Review submitted surface and mineral title reports for issues;
  • Identify solutions to title issues and draft curative documents that will satisfy financing requirements;
  • Work directly with landowners, internal parties, and third parties, including consultants, surveyors, outside counsel, and title companies to obtain necessary approvals, supporting materials, and signatures;
  • Work closely with the accounts payable group to ensure that all landowner payments are paid accurately and in a timely manner;
  • Submit documents to counties for recording;
  • Draft title clearing letters to send to landowners that explain title issues related to their land and solicit their support or signatures as appropriate;
  • Support project teams through closings by answering due diligence questions and making selections;
  • Maintain a software database of land rights;
  • Maintain and update title tracking and title status spreadsheets;
  • Submit documents to counties for recording;
  • Draft title clearing letters to send to landowners that explain title issues related to their land and solicit their support or signatures as appropriate;
  • Support other projects as assigned.

Your skills, our requirements!

  • Bachelors degree in Real Estate, Business, Marketing, or related field;
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in real estate development, real estate title or in a relevant field;
  • Experience in Land Acquisitions;
  • Legal assistant, paralegal or similar experience preferred;
  • Ability to read and interpret legal / real estate documents;
  • Experience in renewable energy, an asset;
  • Proficient with the MS Office suite, specifically Excel, Word, and Power Point.

Additional considerations!

  • The position could be based at the companys San Diego (CA) office or remote within the USA.
  • This position is P3 with a base salary of $ $86,600 $149,300, exclusive of fringe benefits and/or potential bonuses.
