Your day-to-day!

  • Develop and pursue land acquisition strategies for wind, solar, and battery storage projects. Work with the development team to determine appropriate terms for negotiations in various regions and for various project types.
  • Obtain the source documentation required for easements and leases from public records, located virtually or physically at relevant county courthouse or abstract offices.
  • Prepare and deliver project-related presentations to landowners, either individually, or in small or large groups.
  • Locate contact information for landowners in project target areas and negotiate easements, leases, and purchase agreements for solar, wind, and storage projects.
  • Display a comprehensive understanding of the terms and conditions of the Corporations agreements and real estate strategy.
  • Work closely in collaboration with the Corporations third-party land agents to assure that Innergexs values and corporate priorities are clearly communicated.
  • Collaborate with the Corporations internal land and legal teams to oversee the delivery of accurate, complete and properly executed agreements.
  • Work with the land team to assist in the organization of documents, records and files within the Salesforce software suite.
  • Have a clear understanding of relevant mineral rights and, if required, negotiate and obtain mineral rights waivers.
  • Work with State and Federal agencies to secure land contracts and leases throughout the USA.
  • Assist the land team with the procurement of surface rights waivers and other required real estate documentation as needed.

Your skills, our requirements!

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in land acquisition and title.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of renewable energy related land acquisition experience.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) required.
  • Comprehensive understanding of real estate matters.
  • High organizational skills and the capability of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient level of knowledge working with relevant GIS tools.
  • Strong understanding of the Microsoft Office suite, Excel, Word, and Salesforce.
  • Shows dedication and commitment to the organization as if it were their own.
  • Takes accountability for the quality and success of their work.
  • Consistently displays an outstanding degree of involvement and engagement.
  • Keen ability to establish rapport and foster good relationships with team members.
  • Works cooperatively with the team and provides the right information to others in a timely manner.

  • Shows skill in locating contact information for landowners and governmental/corporate entities and is comfortable cold-calling and establishing new contacts.
  • Possesses a Sales Mentality while cementing personal connections in order to establish Innergex as the preferred landowner partner even in areas with other active developers.

Additional considerations!

  • The position could be based at the companys San Diego (CA) office or remote within the USA.
  • This position is P3 with a base salary of $86,600 $149,300, exclusive of fringe benefits and/or potential bonuses.
