Job Description


 The Assistant Project Manager (APM) will play a crucial role in supporting the successful execution of commercial and industrial battery storage and solar projects. The APM will work closely with the Project Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in project management within the rapidly growing renewable energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Coordination:
  • Assist the Project Manager in planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to deadlines and within budget.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, including engineering, procurement, and construction, to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Maintain project schedules, track progress, and update project documentation regularly.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Serve as a point of contact for clients, vendors, and subcontractors, ensuring clear and timely communication.
    • Prepare and distribute regular project updates and reports to stakeholders.
  • Budget and Cost Management:
    • Assist in monitoring project budgets, including tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
    • Support the Project Manager in reviewing and approving invoices and change orders.
  • Quality Control:
    • Ensure that all project activities comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company quality protocols.
    • Participate in site inspections and ensure that project deliverables meet quality expectations.
  • Risk Management:
    • Assist in identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies.
    • Monitor and report on risk factors throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, purchase orders, and project schedules.
    • Prepare project closeout documentation and assist in post-project evaluations.

    Qualifications

    • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 2+ years of experience in project coordination or management, preferably within the renewable energy sector, construction, or a related industry.
    • Familiarity with commercial and industrial-scale battery storage and solar projects is highly desirable.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar tools).
    • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to renewable energy projects.
    • Basic understanding of financial principles related to project budgeting and cost management.
