Your Role:

As the Director of Technical Services, you will be the key driver behind the company’s ready-mix concrete quality operations. Overseeing approximately 40 plants across six markets, you will ensure that products meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and sustainability. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with deep technical knowledge and business acumen who thrives in a customer-centric environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Innovative Concrete Mix Design: Develop and optimize concrete mixtures that meet customer specifications while balancing materials, cost, and performance.
• Quality Assurance Leadership: Design and implement quality control plans, maintain certifications, and ensure consistency across the business unit.
• Technical Expertise: Lead the evaluation of new technologies and materials, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement to achieve zero defects and zero waste.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and maintain relationships with commercial labs, architects, engineers, and large accounts to lead the industry in product utilization and sustainable practices.

What We’re Looking For:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a related field.
• Extensive Experience: 8+ years leading regional quality operations within the ready-mix concrete industry.
• Certifications: PE license or relevant certifications (ACI, NRMCA, DOT) preferred.
• Technical Mastery: In-depth knowledge of cement and concrete processes, strong analytical and statistical skills (Six Sigma preferred), and proficiency in industry software.
