Job Description

Overview:
Responsible for serving as the leader on project management design and execution across the Mastec Renewable Services (RS) business. This position will seek ways of improving operational and project performance to support our vision of delivering all projects to the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence. The Senior Manager will work closely with the Commercial, Operational, and Field teams to ensure projects are executed smoothly and safely in accordance with the Companys policies and best practices.

Location & Travel:
This position is eligible for remote work and requires up to 50% travel

Responsibilities:

  • Promote and comply with all Company safety policies and procedures
  • Manage RS Project Managers to ensure project success and customer satisfaction are in line with the Companys vision and values
  • Build organizational capability through proactive training and development of Project Managers
  • Ensure and reinforce safety and quality standards to help drive operational, profitability, and long-term customer satisfaction
  • Drive operational consistency and rigor throughout the financials and operational reporting process
  • Serve as the main point of escalation for Project Managers for all customer related issues and negotiations
  • Ensure financial reporting and EAC/CTC management for all Project Managers is completed consistently and efficiently throughout the month
  • Immediately notify leadership of any financial issues on projects
  • Support the development and implementation of automated tools using web and mobile applications to improve financial reporting and EAC/CTC management
  • Provide regular performance reviews to all Project Managers and proactively apply performance coaching and feedback as required
  • Continually identify and implement plans for process and project management improvement
  • Ensure that all projects have an end of project review that drives individual, team and organizational learning
  • Ensure that the Project Manager holds that end of project review between themselves and the site lead at a minimum
  • Share best practices and act as a coach for Project Management team
  • Support the development of the RS Project Management Handbook
  • Interface with Project Controls to maintain individual Project and Services portfolio schedules
  • Provide regular feedback, both formally and informally to the business about lessons learned, opportunities, and improvements
  • Monitor productivity reports, performance metrics and corresponding payroll records
  • Monitor paper flow ensure all documents are accounted for, filled out completely, legibly and filed or distributed to the appropriate parties
  • Build client relationships and seek additional business opportunities
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

Qualifications:

Education and Work Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in construction management or related field
  • 5 years experience in Renewable Energy
  • Experience in Project or Site Management in Wind, Solar and/or High Voltage industries preferred
  • PMP Certification preferred

Working Environment:
  • When visiting jobsites the work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions
  • This work environment may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises
