Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Energy Policy Analyst to work in our Nuclear Science and Technology directorate. Our team works a 9×80 schedule fully remote with every other Friday off.

Idaho National Laboratory seeks a motivated candidate to assist in activities to support energy policy development and strategic analyses focused on providing credible and timely information to inform energy policy and research, development, and demonstration (RD&D) direction for our energy systems.

Responsibilities Include

  • As directed by the Senior Policy Advisor, help develop energy policy-focused analyses by conducting research, participating in meetings, tracking progress of related products, drafting memos, papers, and presentations.
  • Support collaboration and engagement with government agencies and personnel, nuclear technology developers, non-government organizations, academia, international partners, financial institutions, and other partners to help develop strategic analyses and policy development.
  • Help track efforts of policy-makers, relevant RD&D programs, universities, national laboratories, industry, and other partners at the national, state, and local levels to ensure coordination of complementary work.
  • This is a one year project hire.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in, communication, public relations, international affairs, political science, finance, or related fields.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy “L” clearance, which requires US Citizenship.

Job Information

  • The pay range for this position is ($45,300 – $88,440). At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.
  • You are required to show a demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environment.
  • TDP: This is a testing designated position; you will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and periodic drug testing throughout the term of your employment.
  • The position closes 8/13/24.
