ABOUT THE ROLE
The Inventory Control Specialist I is responsible for receiving, tracking and maintaining inventory and as well as dispensing parts and supplies in accordance with plant maintenance and operating requirements. This position reports to the warehouse supervisor.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
  • Demonstrate commitment to safety policies in all work environments.
  • Manage warehouse inventory, including stock counts, quality inspections, and goods movement.
  • Ensure effective storage and movement of goods throughout the plant.
  • Handle receiving, storing, dispatching goods, tracking shipments, and coordinating import/export activities.
  • Define and enforce warehouse strategies for plant reliability.
  • Collaborate with procurement, maintenance, production, and finance for effective warehouse operations.
  • Conduct annual physical inventory, monitor inventory accuracy, and handle obsolete inventory.
  • Prepare bills of lading, perform inventory transactions in CMMS, and ensure goods received match purchase orders.
  • Maintain high standards of safety, housekeeping, and organization, including managing tool cribs and refurbishing parts.
  • Operate forklift, perform pre-shift inspections, ensure delivery drivers adhere to safety standards, and perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • Education: High school diploma
  • Work Experience: 1-3 years of experience preferred
  • Required Computer and Software Skills: Experience using computers. Experience using dispatch and trucking software preferred.
  • Travel Requirements: Occasional travel for training purposes

  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment (“PPE”), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
