ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Analyst, Strategy and Logistics is responsible for assisting in the development and execution of strategic planning, logistics optimization and ensuring business execution. The strategic planning responsibility will include all markets in the Mountain Region (Colorado, Nevada, Arizona and Utah) incl. future areas of growth. This role will champion the data mining and entry process for the key strategic planning process including strategic framework document preparation and its key activities to support the business (all product lines). The successful candidate will champion the data mining process and analysis extracted from our systems which will be used in developing actions to minimize cost and improve efficiency and accuracy of the data in which is used. The logistics optimization will ensure development and execution of process and delivering cost-savings. This will encompass both internal and external movements of aggregates, ready mix, cement and fly ash for ACM business in coordination with the appropriate teams in Aggregates, Ready Mix, Asphalt and Construction product lines.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
  • Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
  • Strategic planning, to include creating, data entry, and management of business intelligence database.
  • Consolidation and compilation of information gained from market assessments.
  • Assistance in document generation for mid-long term strategic planning and tracking
  • Maintains Mountain Region Strategic Framework database and preparation of Senior Executive updates as required.
  • Tracks performance and variances of logistics performance relative to established KPIs and best in class benchmarks
  • Review, track, and provide analytics for annual cost-savings initiatives: defines strategic logistical goals and deliverables that support business goals
  • Interacts with peers in other Regions/Countries to both share and gain insight on best practices, and implement process and cost-savings initiatives where opportunity exists.
  • Drive implementation of technology that adds value to the business.
  • Other duties as assigned
RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHER JOBS
  • Interacts coordinates and directs with Logistics, Dispatch, and Commercial Team (all product lines).
  • Accountable in partnership with N+1 for Strategy and Logistics to the SVP Mountain Region and North American CEO.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of equivalent experience
  • Additional Education Preferred: Master’s degree
  • Field of Study Preferred: Business and/or finance
  • Required Work Experience:
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience. Knowledge of industry/regulatory codes and standards
