Description:
ABOUT THE ROLE
Oversees and coordinates all aspects of Aggregate site operations, ensuring uninterrupted supply of products. Responsible for ensuring that all production, shipping, cost, quality, and safety goals are met. Reviews pit production schedules, determines workforce requirements and monitors production to ensure customer requirements are met.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
  • Assist all Site Managers in planning, coordinating, and supervising mining activities including crew and equipment; Establish and monitor mine and production plans; Maintain accurate cost and inventory control; Calculate and analyze all productivity and material data
  • Assist in the development and supervision of capital investment projects; Coordinate and supervise contractors including drilling, blasting, excavation, and portable crushing;
  • Maintain duties related to the Mine and Occupational Safety & Health Act and Regulations for the mine site, including accident investigation and reporting, health and safety committee meetings, claims management etc
  • Coordinate proper procurement of materials ensuring timely delivery and accuracy of requisitions
  • Maintain a diary for the site on a daily basis
  • Ensure that safety, compliance and environmental requirements are followed within the department.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Education: Bachelor’s/University Degree
Work Experience: 1-3 years
Travel Requirements: must be willing to travel to all aggregate sites
Additional Requirements: Computer and Software Skills: Basic experience using computers.

  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim-approved Personal Protection Equipment (“PPE”), including but not limited to respirators. Employees who are required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
