Description:
ABOUT THE ROLE
Effectively and efficiently manage all aspects relative to the back office needs for Cement Road Transportation carriers and team. Manage the contracts ensuring that they are signed and up to date. Ensure that all carriers are paid per contract terms handling all exception billing and accessorial charges. Monitor the safety status in Avetta and contract requirements for all Holcim third-party carriers and brokers. Monitor and update all rate tables in SAP.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
  • Oversee the day-to-day activities of a 2 to 4 person team members
  • Provide feedback to the Order Desk Manager, Logistics Manager(s), and Director of Road Transportation on continuous process improvement ideas and potential savings opportunities
  • Ensure that tools and processes are used and managed daily by the full team
  • Ensures communication of key business information to the team regularly
  • Maintain carrier database
  • Assist with strategic planning (Budget, MTP, etc.) and project management
  • Ad hoc reporting for supply chain, order desks, plant/term. ops, and sales
  • Build and maintain rate guides for sales and order desk to guide negotiations and billing for customers.
  • Assist with NABS tier two inquiries (any non-matching bills) 100 inquiries per day
  • Secondary audit for carrier portal invoices
  • Assist in defining metrics, creating and running reports to manage: terminal operations, in-bound deliveries, and out-bound deliveries.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Education: Bachelor’s degree
Additional Education Preferred: Master’s degree
Required Work Experience: 3-5 years
