Summary

To perform the daily operations of plants to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line for new products and Services work. Develops an operational year plan for own manufacturing activities of the team. Suggests improvements in products, processes, and procedures.

The NC Programmer Lead Analyst will be responsible for defined NC programming work or projects with moderate complexity. Furthermore, the Lead Analyst part of the role, will have responsibility for developing post processors, developing cut path verification simulations, and supporting programming system development. In this role you will follow an individual work plan, meet day-to-day short-term objectives, and have the ability to resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform NC programming utilizing Semiens NX Unigraphics.
  • Develop tooling-fixturing solutions & apply new technology as needed.
  • Develop NC programming & manufacturing software systems.
  • Post Processor enhancements
  • NC program verification simulation
  • CMM programming technical support
  • Lead to implement any new potential NC and/or programming systems.
  • Use state-of-the-art manufacturing concepts, including just-in-time, statistical process control and employee involvement concepts.
  • Be involved in solving manufacturing and quality issues utilizing root cause analysis tools and implementing correct actions.
  • Assist with operator training initiatives and participate in development of operator training programs.
  • Support the manufacturing engineers in process routings and NC setup operators to cover the CNC program needs of the New Product Introduction (NPI) processes and the productivity actions.
  • Determine and formalize technological parameters through CNC programs and participate in the CNC program archiving process.
  • Assure full technological documentation with CNC path, featuring and tooling information.
  • Contribute new ideas and positive support to the current process by implementing productivity actions in order to improve the process and respect objectives.
  • Assure CNC program downloading-uploading to the machines.
  • Optimize CNC programs for cycle time reductions.
  • Qualifications/Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a High School Diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)
    • NC Programming working experience highly preferred.

    Desired Characteristics:

    • Minimum of 4 years of NC programming experience.
    • Ability to read and understand NC machine code (M and G code programming).
    • Technical writing ability particularly in the area of methods and written instructions in the programs.
    • Knowledge in various CNC machines, programming languages for Mazak, Siemens 840D controls.
    • Ability to create & improve NC program verification simulation system.
    • Ability to create & improve NC program Post Processors for CNC machines.
    • Ability to work independently and as a contributing team player.
    • Strong customer service skills.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
