Summary

The Intern will be responsible for:

  • Support daily manufacturing and supply chain activities such as disposition of NCRs
  • Develop and/or update internal Material Specifications to industry standards compliance and customer requirements.
  • Participate in design reviews for material selection and recommendations.
  • Conduct failure analysis and investigations.
  • Maintain and improve Manufacturing Quality metrics (KPIs)
  • Participate in QMS documentation review and support during internal audits for API & ISO
  • Contribute and be part of the continuous improvement program (DFZs, GEMBAs, defect and scrap reduction).
  • Other duties as assigned.

The Intern also will learn about the following:

  • Requirements for Materials applicable to Oil and Gas industry (API, ASTM, NACE, DNV).
  • Apply textbook knowledge to solve engineering problems
  • Hands on experiences of material testing and qualifications.
  • Quality Management System structure and processes followed to ensure the quality of products and services.
  • KPIs, goals & objectives in manufacturing quality for the organization.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.

Skills/Requirements

  • Currently enrolled and working toward completion of Bachelor or Graduate degree from an accredited university or college with Mechanical Engineering majors preferred.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Good interpersonal skills to drive collaboration across multiple functions to achieve desired results.
  • Ability to work independently or within a larger team as required by the project and subsystem.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft office products, i.e., Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
