We are seeking a skilled and motivated Finance Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in overseeing key financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and managing day-to-day financial activities. You will handle revenue recognition, accounts payable, and financial reporting, while also coordinating audits and implementing efficient accounting systems. Your expertise in tax planning, finance management, and insurance considerations will contribute to the overall financial health and strategic success of our organization. Key Responsibilities:

Revenue Recognition:

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP for revenue recognition, including for goods billed but held for future delivery and long-term service agreements
  • Oversee the accurate and timely issuance of customer invoices and manage account reconciliations, addressing discrepancies as needed

Accounts Payable:

  • Direct the accounts payable process, including invoice approvals, payment scheduling, and maintaining strong vendor relationships

Accounting Systems:

  • Implement and manage an efficient ERP system to streamline accounting processes and improve operational efficiency

Audit Coordination:

  • Act as the liaison with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with financial regulations
  • Prepare audit schedules and support documentation to facilitate smooth audits

Tax Planning:

  • Ensure accurate and timely filing of sales tax returns, staying updated on relevant regulations.
  • Develop and implement strategies for minimizing income tax liabilities, and prepare and review income tax returns
  • Manage transfer pricing policies and documentation to ensure compliance with international regulations

Finance Management:

  • Develop and enforce credit policies to manage customer credit risk and monitor credit limits and payment performance to prevent bad debt
  • Oversee the issuance and management of letters of credit to support international trade, including understanding key terms and finalizing letter language with customers
  • Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for operations, including forecasting cash flow needs and identifying potential shortfalls or surpluses

Insurance Management:

  • Evaluate and manage insurance policies related to pollution and cybersecurity, ensuring adequate coverage and compliance with regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

  • Experience in the energy, battery, renewables or related industry is REQUIRED
  • Extensive experience in finance and accounting management
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and ERP systems
  • Proven track record of managing audits, tax planning, and finance functions
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
