The Opportunity
Assist the Warehouse Manager in all aspects of a working PV Solar installation warehouse, by maintaining a clean, stocked warehouse and stagging equipment for installation crews. Follow companies safety and fleet program.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare installation materials.
- Operate forklift to load or unload equipment
- Stack and organize large bulky items
- Ensure workplace is organized, free of debris and remove hazards
- Maintaining a clean warehouse and fleet
- Fleet record keeping
- Inventory and safety equipment cycle counts and inspections
- Retrieval of needed inventory /equipment
- Implementing the GRID safety program
- Material separation and recycling
- Act as back up for the installation crews
- Other duties as assigned
What you need to bring to this role…
- Self-starter
- Previous warehouse, solar, or construction experience
- Ability to travel throughout the target territory
- Good communication skills
- Ability to represent Grid Alternatives positively to diverse populations
- Work both independently and within diverse teams
- Able to carry/lift 70 pounds repeatedly
- Flexibility to embrace change
- Able to work in an area that is subject to climate fluctuations
- Able to work at heights
- Comfortable with technology
It would be great if you also had…
- Passion for sustainability, affordable housing, the environment and making the world a better place.
- Experience with Google Suite, Microsoft Suite, Salesforce or other CRM software
- Bilingual in Hmong, Spanish, or Punjabi
Where you will sit and the places you may go
This position may rarely require up to 25% out-of-town travel to regional offices and special projects such as company-wide celebrations, team building exercises, etc. Availability to work nights and weekends may very rarely be required.
GRID Alternatives may provide vehicles for work travel and/or travel reimbursement for personal vehicle use. In this instance, applicants must hold a valid drivers license and have a good driving record.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Hourly pay commensurate with experience within the pay band ($16-$22 per hour), plus the benefits below.
