The Opportunity…
As a Software Product Manager for Renewable Energy Construction, you will lead the processes of discovering, ideating, delivering, training, and measuring the success of our technology initiatives within the Construction Department. You will blend a solid understanding of business processes with critical thinking, analysis, and software product management skills to drive meaningful technology integration that enhances operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technology Integration: Identify and implement technology solutions that streamline construction processes, improve project management, and enhance overall operational efficiency.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders across engineering, design, construction, and operations and maintenance to understand use cases and gather requirements, prioritize features, and ensure alignment on team needs.
- Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure how well products are adopted. Gather feedback to iterate and improve product performance.
- Problem Solving: Resolve a wide range of internal cases tracked using Salesforce, and address problems, bugs, and questions from various staff.
- Process Documentation: Document new and existing processes to assist with onboarding, training, and process changes.
- Change Management: Assist with change management by integrating new tools, policies, and procedures into existing workflows, and updating training documentation.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Become a main subject matter expert on the various business processes performed throughout the Construction Department.
What You Need to Bring to This Role…
- 5+ years of experience managing software products, projects, and improvements.
- 2+ years of experience in renewable energy construction or design.
- Proven ability to leverage analytical and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented individual with the ability to quickly ramp up on new stakeholders, their business needs, and technologies.
- Strong presentation, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with consistent and thorough documentation.
- Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks within a collaborative team environment.
- Demonstrates flexibility and a willingness to do what it takes to get the job done.
- Drive and desire to learn and grow both technical and functional skill sets.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and other software commonly used by GRID.

- Knowledge and experience working in a software development environment.
Where you will sit and the places you may go This position may rarely require up to 25% out-of-town travel to regional offices and special projects such as company-wide celebrations, team building exercises, etc. Availability to work nights and weekends may very rarely be required.
GRID Alternatives may provide vehicles for work travel and/or travel reimbursement for personal vehicle use. In this instance, applicants must hold a valid drivers license and have a good driving record.

This is a full-time, exempt position. Salary pay commensurate with experience within the pay band ($46k-$86k annually), plus the benefits below.
