The Opportunity

The Budget Analyst helps analyze the financial resources and uses available to GRID. Work directly with COO, CFO, regions, and department heads across GRID Alternatives to keep our budget forecasts up to date and accurate. Be primary subject matter expert in the budgeting and forecast software (Vena) solution. Report directly to the COO.

  • Work with different departments and regions to update forecasts (approximately 25 files) on monthly basis
  • Work with CFO/Controller to develop monthly financial narratives
  • Maintain Vena reports and files (identify and fix bugs and formula errors)
  • Perform budget versus actual analysis
  • Any other duties as assigned

What you need to bring to this role…
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (5 years experience)
  • Understanding of financial statements
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive business information with discretion

It would be great if you also had…
  • Experience with Vena or other forecasting software
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM software
  • Experience with Intacct or other accounting software
  • Understanding of non-profit accounting
  • Prior budget analyst experience

Where you will sit and the places you may go

This position may rarely require up to 25% out-of-town travel to regional offices and special projects such as company-wide celebrations, team building exercises, etc. Availability to work nights and weekends may very rarely be required.

GRID Alternatives may provide vehicles for work travel and/or travel reimbursement for personal vehicle use. In this instance, applicants must hold a valid drivers license and have a good driving record.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Hourly pay commensurate with experience within the pay band ($26.44-$37.50 per hour), plus the benefits below.
