Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary contact for all project facets, from permit offices and subcontractors to homeowners, ensuring clear communication from start to finish.
  • Interact with customers at a professional level, maintaining consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Work with our database to onboard installers for jobs, occasionally finding new installers as needed.
  • Oversee multiple projects with a strong sense of urgency and precision.
  • Coordinate between department staff, field installers, permit offices, and utility companies.
  • Report to the project manager and keep accurate records in the CRM system while following established procedures.
  • Meet goals for project shipping, installing, funding, and closing.
  • Plan ahead to line up the project pipeline, ensuring smooth operations and timely completion.
  • Utilize negotiation skills to ensure favorable terms and foster strong relationships with installers and other stakeholders.
  • Build rapport and strong relationships to encourage stakeholders to go the extra mile.
  • Analyze the project pipeline to spot and avoid bottlenecks using CRM tools, including filters and full reports.
  • Ensure that all staff receive the required training and the tools required to execute the duties of their roles.
  • Be flexible and able to prioritize and complete a variety of simultaneous tasks with a high level of organization.
  • Demonstrate the ability and willingness to learn and adapt quickly to rapidly evolving business priorities.

Position Overview:

We are seeking both junior and senior Solar Project Coordinators/Project Managers to join our team. The Coordinator/Manager will be involved in all stages of solar system installation, from inception to completion. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong time management abilities, negotiation skills, and a collaborative mindset.

A Day in the Life:

  • Act as a liaison between sales, installation teams, local permit offices, distributors, and customers.
  • Coordinate and schedule site visits with homeowners and installers.
  • Collaborate with designers and engineers to create construction plans for residential solar systems.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, tracking any deviations.
  • Work with local building departments to obtain necessary permits.
  • Coordinate material shipments.
  • Manage various phases of the installation, transitioning seamlessly between tasks.
  • Ensure timely project shipping, installation, funding, and closing.
  • Plan ahead to line up the project pipeline, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Utilize strong negotiation skills and build relationships to facilitate project success.
  • Analyze the project pipeline using CRM tools to spot and avoid bottlenecks.

Tools and Training:

  • Each station is equipped with a new computer, two 27″ LED monitors, and fast internet connection to ensure you have all the tools required for success.
  • Tailor-made training suited to your previous experience and skills.

Skills and Experience:

  • Team-oriented, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-tasking team.
  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and negotiating.
  • Ability to lead team members to meet or exceed project goals.

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Experience with CRM systems (HubSpot preferred).
  • Experience with and understanding of blueprints (Required).
  • Experience with submitting permits with different utilities and AHJs.
  • Bonus: Experience managing projects in multiple states beyond California.
  • Multi-language skills are advantageous, especially Spanish.

Schedule:

  • 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday
  • In-person work at Northridge, CA 91325 (reliable commute or planned relocation required)

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Pay: Starting from $67,000.00 per year
  • Training period: $27.00 per hour (up to 3 months or until you demonstrate the ability to manage a full pipeline, whichever comes first)
  • Expected hours: 40 50 per week (for salary pay)
  • Potential to earn up to $100,000 annually with bonuses and commissions
