M&A Manager | Utility Scale Solar | Developer
We are partnered with the renewable energy subsidiary of an S&P Top 100 business. This company has been developing utility projects in the US for over 15 years, constructed over 1GW and has a development pipeline of 20GW nationwide.
They are looking to bring on an M&A Manager to join their growing team on some exciting new projects. Funding is the least of their concerns, with huge financial firepower reinforcing the development unit and whole business, making now a fantastic time to join.
Responsibilities:
- Manages the preparation of transaction documents and data rooms, overseeing the transaction process with potential buyers and participating in deal execution.
- Engages in M&A deals, overseeing buyer’s due diligence, and collaborates with various functional teams such as interconnection, real estate, engineering, and legal in the United States, as well as the international development team.
- Expands the pool of potential buyers/investors and maintains strong relationships with them.
- Leads and supports strategic initiatives and market analysis for utility-scale solar and battery storage, contributing to business growth.
- Establishes and nurtures relationships with potential buyers and partners to drive business expansion.
Requirements:
- Holds a Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record from a reputable undergraduate program. An MBA is a plus.
- Possesses relevant market knowledge of solar and/or battery storage in the United States.
- Has over 5 years of experience in project development or M&A, preferably in solar or renewable energy. Experience with leading renewable energy companies and/or investment banking is advantageous.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of solar/storage project development.
- Proficient in utilizing Excel spreadsheets, creating Excel trackers, and using Word and PowerPoint for reporting/presentations via Teams or in person.
