Position Overview

We are seeking a highly qualified Safety Professional to join our team and play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety of our utility-scale solar projects. The successful candidate will lead safety initiatives, promote a safety-conscious culture, and implement best practices to maintain a secure work environment. Responsibilities

  • Safety Leadership: Provide leadership in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of safety programs and policies for utility-scale solar projects.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk assessments and hazard analyses, implementing effective control measures to mitigate potential safety risks.
  • Training and Education: Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into safety incidents, near misses, and accidents, providing recommendations for corrective actions and preventive measures.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of relevant safety regulations and standards, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to integrate safety practices seamlessly into project workflows.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 years of experience in safety management, preferably in the renewable energy or construction industry.
  • Certifications: Possession of relevant certifications such as CSP, CHST, or similar is highly desirable. OSHA 30, OSHA 510, OSHA 500.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey safety principles and expectations.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess safety risks and develop effective solutions.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
