Electrical Manager | Solar Projects
Overview
The Electrical Manager will lead the electrical engineering team in the design, installation, and maintenance of solar power systems. This role involves project management, ensuring compliance with regulations, and collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver successful solar projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the design and implementation of electrical systems for solar projects.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure all electrical components meet specifications.
- Conduct site inspections and evaluations to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the engineering team and other departments.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including design plans, schematics, and reports.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in solar energy and electrical engineering.
- Participate in the procurement process for electrical components and materials.
- Ensure quality control and assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field OR equivalent years of experience.
- Extensive experience in electrical engineering, specifically in renewable energy or solar projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Proficient in electrical design software and tools.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
Work Environment:
- Primarily remote (home office based) with site visits to project locations (up to 50% travel)
