Job Overview

In the capacity of Senior SCADA Automation Engineer, you will be instrumental in the design, implementation, and upkeep of sophisticated SCADA systems for our renewable energy initiatives. Collaborating closely with our engineering division, you will ensure optimal performance and reliability in our operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the design and execution of SCADA systems specifically for solar, substation, and battery energy storage projects.
  • Create and sustain automation control logics, historian data, and HMI interfaces.
  • Supervise functional testing, factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, and the commissioning process.
  • Cooperate with various engineering teams to facilitate the integration of SCADA systems.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, fostering a robust technical team.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in SCADA/Controls engineering within the renewable energy sector.
  • Strong technical expertise in automation logic and control platforms (SEL RTAC, GE RX3i, PLCs, IEC 61131, Python).
  • Comprehensive understanding of electric power systems, protection, controls design, automation, and communication protocols.
  • Proficiency in software tools such as Ignition, Copa Data Zenon, OSIPI, Wonderware, Clearview, AcSELerator RTAC, Proficy Machine Ed., and Python scripting.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capacity to thrive within a collaborative team setting.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in SCADA/Controls engineering related to the renewable energy industry.
