Job Overview As a pivotal member of our Global Procurement team, the Global Category Manager for Manufacturing Services will lead strategic initiatives across various segments, including Capital Expenditure (CapEx), Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO), Utilities, and Dispense. This remote position focuses on the successful execution of projects aligned with our Annual Operating Plan (AOP), driving both efficiencies and cost savings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Spearhead project management initiatives, ensuring the delivery of planned savings and improvements while identifying new opportunities.
  • Collaborate with category leads to refresh strategies utilizing market insights.
  • Oversee the execution of significant strategic projects, from large-scale capital projects to onsite support and services.
  • Conduct risk management assessments and support the execution of category risk evaluations.
  • Work closely with regional teams to share supplier performance data and develop supplier improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure all projects meet timelines, budgetary constraints, and specifications.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical capabilities and financial literacy, with an understanding of financial objectives and value drivers.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present effectively.
  • Proven experience in category management, sourcing, and cultivating supplier relationships.
  • Ability to engage and collaborate with technical teams effectively.
  • Familiarity with renewable energy procurement is highly desirable.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with membership in a professional body such as CIPS preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in CapEx Procurement, with a focus on project management and delivery.
  • Demonstrated history of successful performance in sourcing and relationship management.
  • Strong preference for candidates with engineering and/or operations experience of 5 years or more.
