The Role

We have a great opportunity in our Sales team as we expand our presence globally. This exciting new role will help support business expansion in North America (NAM) at a pivotal time for Geoteric.

The role of the BDG will focus on lead generation to expand the customer base with new logos and drive revenue growth with the creation of new opportunities in established accounts.

A key component of the role is understanding Geoterics software and leveraging your technical background, and our geosciences team, to convey the Geoteric value proposition to customers.

You will be proactive, tenacious, and capable of developing a strong network throughout NAM. An ability to identify and develop opportunities across asset groups and throughout the value chain is essential to succeed as a BDG.

In collaboration with the Sales Account Manager, you will follow a defined sales strategy to help win new business with short sales cycles, and follow growth strategies to secure business with existing customers and onboard new clients.

Success in this role will involve increasing the sales pipeline within the territory.

Enthusiasm, drive, excellent social skills and a strong technical capability to engage directly and consultatively with a wide range of customers are essential to deliver success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Expand the Geoteric customer base in the region.

  • Expand Geoterics relationships and position with existing customers.

  • Ensure sales performance matches quarterly and annual targets.

  • Identify and prioritise new customer targets.

  • Develop growth strategies for targeted accounts, identify key stakeholders and implement account strategies or plans successfully.

  • Increase Geoterics market penetration in assigned accounts, develop and nurture key relationships.

  • Communicate the value of Geoteric to all stakeholders.

  • Identify, generate and close sales opportunities.

  • Prepare, deliver and negotiate customer proposals and quotations.

Personal Profile

  • Educated to degree level in a Geosciences or related Earth Sciences discipline.

  • Experience in technical sales of geoscience software applications, or supporting the sales process, to E&P companies of all sizes.

  • Recent experience of working in the NAM region.

  • Excellent customer engagement skills, particularly an ability to establish new customer relationships, with decision-makers as well as technical experts.

  • Demonstrable success in growing the adoption of software within existing accounts.

Relationships

The BDG reports to the Sales Account Manager – NAM and works closely with the regional geosciences team.

Location

The position is based in Houston with regular travel throughout the region.
