PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist Senior Billing Analyst in Identifying and continuously improving processes to produce timely and

accurate customer billing statements.

  • Responsible for day-to-day production analysis of billing to ensure complete and accurate bills are

processed. Coordinate and work directly with cross-functional teams to analyze and adjust processes

and functionality to ensure that billing information is accurate, and the process is efficient.

  • Create and define processes to measure billing accuracy, timeliness, and success for custom or add-on

products.

  • Coordinate with utilities and market participants to investigate and resolve missing consumptions.
  • Establish controls to bridge identified gaps between Customer care, Operations, Marketing, IT and

Supply.

  • Assist in gathering requirements and QA testing for new development on projects designed to improve

billing, customer experience, and reporting.

  • Proactively identify and resolve existing and potential future billing and account issues promptly and accurately by displaying an acute attention to detail.
  • Perform other ad hoc analyses as required.
  • Manage and adhere to compliance protocols as outlined by the Public Utility Commissions.
  • Adhere to Retail Market Guide protocols as set forth by ERCOT.
  • Take the lead when changes and proposed regulations occur to understand potential gaps to current

processes and formulate solutions to comply.

  • Achieve excellence by delivering on key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Work with the Operation Pricing Team to create products, re-rate products and generate Efls in Smart Grid EDI Billing

System. Also, post them on Power to Choose if needed.

Minimum Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of

education and/or experience related to the discipline.

Communication Skills:
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or

governmental regulations.

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and accurately with all market participants.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the

general public.

Computer Skills:

  • Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software

Analysis and Problem-Solving Ability:

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited

standardization exists.

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Work Environment:

  • Work from home with 1-2 days per week in the office as required.
