Position Summary:

The Project Scheduler will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient planning and scheduling of all project activities. They will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to create and maintain detailed schedules that meet project goals and deadlines. Their expertise in scheduling software and project management methodologies will be essential to monitor progress, identify potential delays, and recommend adjustments to optimize project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive project schedules using industry-standard scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project)
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to define project milestones, deliverables, and timelines
  • Continuously update and maintain schedules to reflect actual progress, scope changes, and delays
  • Coordinate with project teams to identify resource requirements (equipment, materials, manpower) for each phase of the project
  • Ensure resources are allocated efficiently to meet project timelines and budget constraints
  • Monitor resource availability and adjust schedules as necessary to optimize resource utilization
  • Track project progress against established schedules and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Generate regular reports and dashboards to communicate schedule status, risks, and mitigation strategies to project stakeholders
  • Identify critical path activities and potential bottlenecks; propose corrective actions to keep the project on schedule
  • Conduct schedule risk analysis to identify potential schedule impacts and develop contingency plans
  • Work proactively to mitigate risks and minimize disruptions to the project
  • Anticipate potential delays and develop alternative scenarios to maintain project timelines
  • Foster strong working relationships with project managers, engineers, contractors, and vendors
  • Facilitate schedule review meetings and provide updates on schedule performance and projections
  • Communicate schedule changes, impacts, and recommendations effectively to all stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Project Scheduler in construction projects, preferably in solar construction
  • Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in schedule development and analysis
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
  • Knowledge of project management principles and methodologies

Physical Requirements:

  • Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office setting. The role may require occasional travel to GIS field sites or other locations.
  • Physical Demands: This role requires the ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer. Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
