  • Wrangle data from test stands and electrochemical cells to enable data-based decision making and provide regular data updates to technical development team
  • Support electrochemical testing by writing test protocols, troubleshooting and resolving failures, and maintaining cells & modules on test
  • Champion for safety, especially in the development of new laboratory processes and module teardown procedures
  • Lead tear-down efforts of full-scale reactors and design protocols for evaluating battery degradation after testing
  • Work with design team to optimize electrochemical performance of full-scale reactors
  • Collaborate with the Systems Engineering team to evaluate battery performance in an integrated energy storage system

What You’ll Bring

  • 4+ years experience building and testing electrochemical systems (graduate school time accepted as years of experience)
  • BS or advanced degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills within a group of peers and broader organization including remote team members
  • Has deep practical experience with electrochemical science and systems
  • Ability to independently advance experiments from conception through data analysis with a high level of attention to detail
