Job Description Summary:
The Process Engineer 2 (PE2) will perform process engineering activities for FQTs technologies. This role involves managing engineering tasks, with minimal direction, from project conception through detailed engineering, commissioning, system start-up, and plant optimization. The PE2 will collaborate with senior engineers and other team members to ensure the successful execution of projects while developing advanced technical and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Engineering:
- Develops, with minimal assistance, process engineering deliverables such as: Design Basis, Mass & Energy Balances, Process Flow Diagrams and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams
- Prepares sizing and specifications of equipment, piping, instrumentation and valves
- Performs process engineering calculations and process modeling in ChemCad
- Understands the FQT Process Engineering Deliverables throughout the entire FEL process (Front-end Loading)
- Performs plant trials and R&D activities to develop FQT technologies
Communication:
- Maintain clear communication with project teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure project alignment and timely execution.
- Provide regular updates on project progress, highlighting potential risks or delays.
Safety and Quality:
- Promote and adhere to a strong safety culture within the engineering team and at project sites.
- Ensure high-quality work environments by following QA/QC processes.
Technical Proficiency:
- With minimal support perform detailed chemical engineering calculations
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and construction drawings.
Project Management:
- Identifies areas of improvement for process engineering standards and specifications. Communicates effectively how to implement improvements
- Understands FQT process engineering deliverables throughout the entire FEL process

Technical Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in chemical engineering or a related field
- Passed FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) and working to pass PE (Professional Engineering)
- 3-8 years of practical engineering experience.
- Proficiency in process engineering principles, mass and energy balances, and system/equipment sizing.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
- Ability to travel up to 25% of workdays.
- Valid drivers license and ability to travel
