The Vice President of Enterprise Data Strategy and Solution will drive the strategy and direction of the Data and Analytics organization while providing exceptional services and solutions to Fluence internal and external business partners. They will have the opportunity to shape and deliver world-class analytical capabilities in support of Fluence’s mission. The immediate focus for this role will be on advancing the Data & Analytics teams capabilities, confirming long-term architectural direction, developing leading-edge solutions, and creating close partnerships with business stakeholders.
You will be responsible for providing thought leadership on how the data ecosystem should align with SAP S4/Hana, our Data Lake environment to create information assets to meet program and operational needs of the organization. This role will be responsible for building upon the existing foundation and strengthening our core around Master Data, Data Architecture, E2E Data Design, and Data Governance. Our goal is to mature our capabilities in this space, and this role is fundamental and critical in this journey.

The Vice President of Enterprise Data will report to the Chief Information Officer and lead a growing team, along with off-shore & near-shore resources.

As the VP of Enterprise Data Strategy and Solution at Fluence, you will:

  • Lead large transformations for former employers and has evolved & matured current Master Data Management, Data Governance, Data Architecture, Data Quality, Enterprise Data Management, and Data Design practices.
  • Partner with key business executives to develop and drive a Data Governance framework that enables a common data language and creates trust in enterprise data.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to develop a cohesive vision and prioritized multi-year roadmap to create advanced data and analytics capabilities.
  • Collaborate across business units to deliver new and innovative services and solutions that help Fluence to achieve its mission.
  • Continuously innovate the data and analytics platforms and tools architecture to meet current and future needs.
  • Build a trusted and highly capable Data & Analytics organization that may include Data Engineers, Architects, Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and Report Designers.
  • Ensure the data and analytics frameworks follow best practices for maintainability, recoverability, and high-performance.
  • Implement a right-sized SDLC methodology to effectively and efficiently manage change through a complex business and technical environment.
  • You will be responsible for providing thought leadership on how the data ecosystem should align with SAP, our Data Lake environment, and our new migration to S4/Hana, with knowledge of BI Tools to create information assets to meet program operational needs of Fluence.
  • This role will be responsible for building upon the existing foundation and strengthening our core around Master Data, Data Architecture, E2E Data Design, and Data Governance. Our goal is to mature our capabilities in this space, and this role is fundamental and critical in this journey.
  • Translate business strategy into Data and Analytics vision, drive creation and execution of multi-year roadmap.

What will you bring to Fluence?

  • 12+ years experience in the data warehouse, data lake, business intelligence, and the analytics space.
  • 7+ years of leading successful Data and Analytics organizations with significant experience in building highly adopted solutions that positively impact the bottom line.
  • 5+ years developing corporate KPI dashboards and reports that drive organizational insight from data.
  • Expertise in leveraging analytics for competitive advantage and business enhancement across the enterprise.
  • Expertise in data strategy, data architecture, data engineering, advanced analytics, data science, data mining, and machine learning.
  • Expertise in defining and evolving Data and Analytics platforms, tools, and solutions architectures in an enterprise environment.
  • Expertise in implementing appropriate Data and Analytics SDLC methodologies for controlled and iterative development of high-quality solutions.
  • Experience implementing an enterprise-level Data Governance program by partnering across the business and using best-practices to enforce data consistency across the Data and Analytics platforms, tools, and solutions.
  • Highly skilled at assembling, leading, and growing high-performing teams in a fast-paced, business-focused environment.
  • Must be a strong influencer and collaborator to bring all deliverables to a successful conclusion.
  • Has experience managing on-shore and off-shore teams and knows how to optimize operating models to ensure data entry, data operations, and data thought leadership is being performed by the right talent base with scale and speed.

Technology Requirements:

  • Experience managing large scale enterprise level programs and has experience with SAP S4/Hana, with proven examples of transformational experience.
  • Exposure to a variety of Data Integration/ETL tools.
  • Experience with a variety of BI and Analytics platforms like Power BI, Tableau, DOMO, Looker, PowerBI, Alteryx, and advanced statistical analysis tools like SAS or SSPS.
  • Experience with Big Data and NoSQL technologies.
$230,000 – $299,000 a year
