About the Position:
Location: Houston TX/Arlington VA/Alpharetta GA/ (Hybrid: 2-3 days in a week)
The Supply Chain Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the end-to-end supply chain projects. This role involves coordinating with various departments, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure that supply chain projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The Supply Chain Project Manager plays a leading role in setting up new contract manufacturers, coordinate the launch of new products and analyze current supply chain processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning and Management:
Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
Coordinate and lead project meetings, ensuring clear communication of project goals, timelines, and responsibilities.
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project completion.
  • Stakeholder Coordination:
Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., procurement, logistics, production, sales) to align project objectives and deliverables.
Manage relationships with external suppliers, vendors, and logistics providers to ensure project requirements are met.
Supply Chain Scale Up
Coordinate on boarding and ramp up of new contract manufacturer
Support the successful launch of new product
  • Process Improvement:
Analyze existing supply chain processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
Implement best practices and innovative solutions to optimize supply chain operations.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Budget and Cost Management:
Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring projects are completed within financial constraints.
Track project expenses and provide regular financial reports to senior management.
  • Performance Monitoring:
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success and supply chain efficiency.
Conduct regular performance reviews and report on project outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and risk management logs.
Prepare and present project updates and performance reports to senior management and stakeholders.

What an ideal candidate will bring to Fluence?

  • Education:
  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A masters degree or PMP certification is a plus.

  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 2 years in a project management role.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex supply chain projects.

  • Skills:
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities with the capability to influence and motivate teams.

  • Ability to travel as needed to support project requirements.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Primarily office-based with occasional travel to project sites and supplier locations.
  • May require extended hours during peak project phases.
