Were hiring an Autonomous Production Unit (UAP) Manager

Our Clean Mobility Division is looking for an Autonomous Production Unit Manager for its manufacturing facility in Toledo, OH to manage the effective operation of the UAP Team, as well as HR issues for team members.


Youll work on challenges that matter

This job will require you to:

  • Achieve financial targets by preparing and presenting the UAP budget
  • Manage the actual production costs based on “ideal” costs
  • Maintain product margin, and monitor serial productivity (labor level, material consumption, etc.)
  • Manage the UAP team to assure appropriate staffing, maintain working environment according to Group Health, and Safety & Environment (HSE) standards are met
  • Detect and advise training needs, share information (transparency), and participate in career management initiatives, etc.
  • Serve as an official plant representative to the customer
  • Meet established customer specifications concerning cycle time, delivery, quality, quantity and costs
  • Implement preventative and corrective measures in the production process to assure that customer demands are properly met
  • Coordinate with client’s quality team to meet all customer standards
  • Implement action plans in order to improve functionality and productivity to obtain program and Group objectives
  • Participate in the creation of PSE (Production System Efficiency) projects
  • Coordinate resource planning with Industrial Engineering department concerning stocks, equipment, staffing, and activities, etc.

Your profile and competencies to succeed

The ideal candidate

To succeed in this position, you will ideally have:

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of production experience
  • Minimum 3-year team management experience
  • Operational knowledge of Production methods (Kanban, 5S, Hoshin, TPM, GPAO)
  • Demonstrates leadership and commitment with respect to the Environmental Management System by taking accountability, communicating, and supporting the system
