Solar Performance Engineer/Analyst (Energy Advisory)

A mission driven Global Leader in independent engineering for the renewable energy industry, is hiring for the Performance Engineering team of their Solar Advisory group.

This role is a senior Engineer/Analyst focused on the design and development/pre-construction side of the Project Lifecycle.

Core objectives include:

– Full responsibility for high-quality solar resource assessments/analysis and solar energy estimates, in response to client request

– Lead in the technical development of both methodology and tools for the solar energy independent engineering scopes, investigating cutting-edge solar industry advancements and modeling procedures.

This is a full-time role, offered remote in the US, with some expected travel to site. (av. 20%)

The salary offered is expected to be between $100,000 – $130,000 commensurate on experience. (+ Bonus and benefits)

The day-to-day duties include:

– Compilation, validation and analysis of meteorological data for solar resource assessments

– Estimation of plant losses and calculation of assessment uncertainties

– Generation of Energy Production Estimates and creation of Reports for Clients

– Evaluation of project constraints and risks

– Communicating effectively with clients on complex technical issues

The skills that you will bring to this position:

• A Bachelor’s of Science degree in Engineering

• c.8 years of related solar energy engineering/analysis experience

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate technical verbiage effectively

• Experience working directly with customers to present technical results/findings

• Heavily detail orientated
