What To Expect As a Commercial Field Service Electrician, you will be empowered to work across the entire Tesla organization to problem solve and ensure the success of our commercial energy field service execution. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance services to Tesla’s commercial products such as solar PV systems, energy storage, and electric vehicle charging stations.

What You’ll Do

Perform required preventive maintenance activities on commercial inverters to maintain warranty coverageRespond to corrective maintenance cases on all commercial energy products and updating online case logs accuratelyWork closely with members of the Operations Engineering Systems Reliability team to respond to open case directions and provide data where requestedReport writing, where required, to comply with deliverables in commercial O&M contractsRespond to customers’ concerns with the performance or functionality of their system

What You’ll Bring

Valid Journeyman Electrician card within the state employee is assignedAbility to navigate NEC guidelines and knowledge of NFPA 70E practicesPrevious electrical trades experience working with power/hand tools, electrical equipment, isolation meters and multimetersAbility to travel to numerous sites daily and travel up to 2 weeks at a time with short notice and flexibility to work on weekends and overtimeAbility to work at great heights, work in extreme environments, perform prolonged periods of repetitious duties, lift at least 50 pounds frequentlyValid driver’s license required

Expected Compensation

Licensed Electrician I, Ratio – $27.00 – $40.00/hourLicensed Electrician II, Ratio – $32.00 – $48.00/hourLicensed Electrician III, Ratio – $38.00 – $56.00/hourLicensed Electrician IV, Ratio – $43.00 – $65.00/hourLicensed Electrician V, Ratio – $52.00 – $78.00/hour
