This position is expected to start January 2025 and continue through the entire Spring term (i.e through April/May 2025) or into Summer 2025 if available. We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time (40 hours/week) and on-site, for most internships.
International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week. Many students will be limited to part-time during the academic year.

Battery Energy Storage Project Engineer
The Tesla Energy team is committed, and fast moving. We are a group of applications engineers, power systems engineers, and project engineers that sit at the center of business development, Tesla technology, and the deployment of stationary storage projects on the grid. As a member of our team, you will help to shape the success of our projects in various applications worldwide. You must have a genuine passion for engineering products that will fundamentally change the world’s energy infrastructure and must want to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. The ideal candidate has Excellent communication and documentation skills, knowledge of development of the electrical construction drawing set are advantageous, knowledge of relevant standards and electrical studies for utility applications are advantageous, knowledge of Controls, Networking, SCADA are advantageous. Experience in Renewables, PV, Battery storage, EPC, Generation system design, Microgrids. Power Systems, Electronics & CAD Skills are preferred
Installation Process Engineering
Tesla is currently seeking a motivated and hands on engineer who will take part in driving process standardization and improvements for the installation process of energy products. The ideal candidate will excel in a demanding and fast-paced environment where they will work as part of a strong, agile, and highly motivated team to accomplish ambitious projects. The candidate takes pride in their thoroughness, analytical ability, collaboration skills, and their tendency to think outside of the box. A successful applicant will have the ability to quantify ambiguous problems to drive quick, data-based decisions. This team is responsible for defining the standard process for installation of various energy products while bringing clarity to the reasons for any deviation from this standard process, as well as continuous improvement to the process with the goal of increasing our installation capacity as our product demand grows. This will involve work in the field at our installation sites, hands on time trials, creating work instructions and much collaboration with other groups such as operations, field applications, tooling, hardware design, system design, survey, warehousing, supply chain, finance, etc. The ideal candidate can identify opportunities for process efficiency improvement and work with supporting teams to prioritize the opportunities and execute. Plan and execute time trials to study potential areas for process improvements and analyze and organize data to drive business decisions and clearly communicate with leadership
Product Program

The Supercharger team ensures that Tesla continues to deliver the best possible charging customer experience through proactive engagement and growth of the global charging network. The ideal candidate understand markets, competition, and user requirements in depth. Identify and resolve conflicts, inter-dependencies, and program issues quickly and efficiently, work with a cross-functional team of hardware engineers, application/UI software engineers, QA/validation, and designers

Expected Compensation
$20.00 – $50.00/hour, depending on level + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
