The programme

The programme lasts for 2-years and includes rotations of 3-12 months across functions, business areas.

The position

Finance & Control is the driving force behind performance and the creation of greater value in Equinor. You’ll be part of the team that ensures financing and are responsible for financial information both internally and externally.

We provide professional support and advice towards business units and corporate executive management, represent Equinor in the financial markets and are responsible for interactions towards equity analysts and investors. F&C is also responsible for tax, risk management and investor relations.

When joining our team in Finance & Control you will have the opportunity to work within-

  • Investment and portfolio analysis
  • Performance management
  • Financing, capital distribution, cash management, financial risk management and advisory
  • Accounting, financial reporting and financial compliance including verification activities
  • Business architecture, business analytics and digitalization
  • Tax
  • Risk management
  • Licence Management (board work)

You will gain exposure across a multi-national energy value chain; from oil and gas and offshore wind operations to midstream transportation, power and training. As an F&C graduate, you will actively engage with senior leadership team and work in a collaborative way across all disciplines in the F&C global organization .You help deliver financial and accounting support for our North America portfolio – Equinor’s largest international asset base. This can also mean assisting on special projects based on business needs and industry climate, such as data analysis, visualization and automation.

You

For this position we are looking for those with-

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s degree or PhD with good academic record within Accounting, Finance, or Economics
  • Completed degree within year of starting (2025)
  • Fluent in English
  • No more than two years of relevant fulltime work experience
  • Formal experience is not a requirement  
  • Extracurricular activities and/or voluntary work is an advantage
