The Sr PSM Coordinator, Midstream oversees the occupational safety and PSM/RMP program activities for EQT’s midstream business to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and EQT internal policies and procedures. Provide technical personal and process safety guidance on a variety issue that will require good public speaking, writing and computer skills.
The Sr PSM Coordinator responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Partners with EHS, Operations, Engineering, Construction and other support groups to implement the personal and process safety programs for EQT.
- Serves as the process safety technical professional interpreting state and federal worker safety and PSM regulations and providing compliance guidance. Must be highly knowledgeable in OSHA 29 CFR 1910.119 requirements for midstream operations as well as relevant OSHA interpretations and guidance.
- Establish and manage the EQT PSM program.
- Manages implementation of Midstream health, safety and PSM policies and procedures including hot work, lockout-tagout, confined space entry, MOC, PHA, PSSR, and other safe work practices.
- Provides oversight and guidance for PSM/RMP program (PHA, MOC, PSSR, contractor management and safe work practices).
- Oversees the development and maintenance of process safety information.
- Oversees and manages the PHA process for Midstream facilities.
- Oversees and manages the implementation of management of change (MOC) program
- Monitors and evaluates process safety performance and develops priority action plan to improve implementation and understanding of process and personal safety.
- Tracks adequacy and closure of corrective action items related to incident investigations, audits, PHA recommendations, MOC action plans, agency inspections, etc.
- Develops, coordinates, and conducts required health, safety and PSM training.
- Provides technical support during asset Safety/PSM audits and serves as an audit team member/leader on Midstream audits.
- May provide due diligence expertise in mergers and acquisitions.
- Supports the staff (corporate or site operations) during EHS meetings; develops data and statistics to support department goals and objectives.
- Works with staff to develop their process and personal safety skillsets and competencies
- Travel to field locations up to 30% of the time
Required / Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Safety or similar technical degree with a minimum of seven years industrial health, safety and PSM experience in the oil and gas industry preferred.
- Highly detailed oriented
- Candidates without a degree must have a minimum of ten years of industrial safety, health, and PSM experience, in the oil and gas industry to be considered.
- Certification such as CSP, PSP, PE, etc. preferred.
- Ability to walk on uneven surfaces, climb stairs and ladders, stand for long periods, sit for long periods, type at least 40 words per minute, clear oral communication in small and large group settings
