The Facilities Engineer I/II is responsible for leading production and facilities engineering to deliver technical excellence in engineering designs, processes, and procedures so that the department meets business goals. This position will provide the opportunity for growth and development through mentorship provided by the experience of a diverse engineering department.
The Facilities Engineer I/II responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing technical expertise in all phases of mechanical design
- Supporting the design and development of engineering projects as they relate to Production facilities, including natural gas processing units and auxiliary piping systems, equipment specifications including compression, filter/separators, and dehydration equipment as well as pipeline and measurement design
- Provide reliable cost estimates for equipment and installation of various production pad facilities
- Support Operations personnel with training on the use and maintenance of equipment/facilities
- Develop operational guidelines as needed for facility operation
- Assistance during the construction and commissioning of projects, operations support, and collaboration with other internal or external engineering personnel
- Establishing and maintaining a sole philosophy of design that meets or exceeds all applicable governmental and industry codes and specifications
- Ensuring that facility designs are uniform, safe, and effective in design and operation
Required Experience and Skills:
- 2+ years of experience in engineering
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Petroleum / Chemical)
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Understanding of Process Flow & Equipment Used For Separation of Fluids On Common Oil and Gas Production Wells
- Understanding of ASME, ANSI, API, ISA, NACE Specs and Standards
- Understanding of Thermodynamics & Fluid Dynamics
- Communication and Presentation Skills
- Extreme Ownership Mentality
- Able to take complex workflows/ideas and communicate them concisely to achieve results
- Self-Starter / Team Player
- Able to Work Independently as needed
- Ability to travel 15-20% of the time
- Ability to work flexible work hours inclusive of weekends and holidays as needed
- 9/80 work schedule
Preferred Experience:
- Prior experience in the oil and gas industry
- Equipment design/manufacturing or oil field facility construction
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite Experience to Include Vizio

Preferred Location:
The job is hybrid, meaning it combines field work, remote work, and office work in the Pittsburgh, PA, area.
Selected incumbent will be placed into the position that best suits their abilities and experience level.
