The Accountant I/II/III/Sr will primarily be responsible for the application of core accounting principles and analytical skills supporting the EQT’s corporate accounting and shared service functions. The position will perform various general accounting duties while driving automation and improvement of recurring processes.

The ideal candidate is an individual of high energy and motivation who embraces technology; someone who can thrive in a transparent, fast-paced and collaborative team environment to optimize processes and actively contribute to EQT’s day-to-day execution; and someone that has a willingness to take on a variety of contributions across the corporate accounting function to drive fast, accurate monthly results.

The Accountant I/II/III/ Sr. responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Prepares journal entries
  • Performs account reconciliations
  • Performs escheatment of outstanding checks
  • Applies cash receipts
  • Reconciles bank accounts
  • Supports overall cash management process for check runs and royalty distributions
  • Assists with accounting for intercompany transactions
  • Willingness to cross-train in all areas of corporate and shared services accounting to allow ample opportunities for our Qrew to develop and gain increasing opportunities to learn other areas
  • Assists with internal and external audit processes
  • Identify process improvements through automation of recurring processes
  • Communicates with internal stakeholders across all levels in support of corporate functions

Required / Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a closely related field
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Embraces technology and continuous improvement
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Solid understanding of accounting systems (Quorum, OneStream), business intelligence platforms (PowerBI, Alteryx, or Spotfire) as well as programming languages (SQL, R) is preferred

Remote work is approved for this role, excluding the following states: Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee, Louisiana, New Jersey, and New York, unless willing to relocate.

Selected incumbent will be placed into the position that best suits their abilities and experience level.
