Job Purpose:
The Project Manager will be responsible for estimating, cost control, forecasting and scheduling multiple projects through final project completion. They are responsible for managing staff, delegating tasks to team members, monitoring resources and overseeing the full scope of electrical testing/maintenance projects.
Responsibilities:
- Perform QA/QC of test sheets/reports
- Help develop work plans for projects
- Customer liaison for EPS
- Assist in the safety role
- Help organize safety meetings
- Develop general scheduling of projects
- Work with Sales Managers to improve and direct conversations with customers on each project.
- Review quotes for accuracy
- Communicate and Coordinate with customer scheduling, conflicts and concerns, reports, out of scope issues, change orders, and/or status.
- Coordinate and verify testing and safety procedures are being adhered to by office engineers and technicians
- Determine any additional change orders needed and arrange such with the sales managers or operation manager to provide information and time to submit for customer approval.
- Help source and provide personnel, equipment, and materials to meet project schedule
- Mentor new employees
Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience in Project Management in a testing environment
- Strong background in protection and control
- Experience leading both greenfield and brownfield substation work with a team
- Able to multi-task and assist operations even while working in the field
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Excellent management and supervisory skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- NETA certification a plus
