The Business Development Manager role (USA) will be responsible for the Energy and Power (E&P) industry and will look to drive market awareness of EPLAN solutions. Our platform infuses efficiency through a diverse portfolio of software products for over 65,000 customers worldwide. The position will elevate our brand and build industry knowledge for our pre-sales activities.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Leads the Sales and Marketing activities related to the Energy and Power vertical, including qualified leads, opportunities, and revenue.
- Drives brand awareness in the Energy and Power industry by the means of targeting marketing initiatives.
- Provides industry knowledge and direct support to the USA sales and technical teams.
- Identifies local market trends and drivers within the Energy and Power vertical.
- Supports the definition of market strategies, potential, and key players within the industry.
- Defines and establishes contact to targeted prospects within the US.
- Participates in local industry associations and identifies potential partners.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or comparable degree.
- 5+ years in electric utilities, substations, or alternative energy. (Wind, solar, nuclear)
- Inquisitive, honest, and solves difficult problems. Take the opportunity to connect/promote/sell ideas, products, and services that demonstrates your knowledge.

- High customer orientation (internal and external), confident appearance as well as conceptual and strategic skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills in English.

- Strong team worker with interfaces to regional sales and Business Development management.
Additional Information:
We will not sponsor applicants for work visas. Applicants must be authorized to work on an unrestricted basis. Hours: M-F. Must reside within the US and be willing to travel approximately 50%
