What You Can Expect

As our Business Development Analyst II, you will play a crucial role in the origination and development of early to mid-stage projects for the ENGIE Distributed Storage portfolio across the United States. In this role, you will support both new and existing development partnerships for standalone solar, standalone storage, and solar + storage projects. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with project developers to identify suitable sites, manage zoning and permitting processes, and negotiate commercial contracts. Additionally, you will build and maintain relationships with landowners, community leaders, utilities, and environmental organizations. You will also drive new greenfield portfolio development and support M&A opportunities. To succeed in this role, you will need strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor. This position is based in Chicago, IL, and reports to the Senior Advisor of Business Development.

What Youll Bring

  • You hold a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Sciences or related field
  • A minimum of three (3) of renewables and/or energy storage project development or related experience
  • You are knowledgeable in power markets, including wholesale markets, renewables, and/or energy storage
  • You are detail-oriented and self-motivated, capable of working effectively both individually and as part of a team
  • You have a general understanding of renewable energy and battery storage market trends and their impacts on solar and storage project development
  • You are comfortable engaging with technical subject matter experts and discussing technical topics with internal and external stakeholders, primarily involving energy storage system capabilities and limitations
  • You are results-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities, strong analytical skills, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a rapidly changing environment
  • You are proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM tools, with superior verbal and written communication skills, and can present to a wide range of audiences, including local project stakeholder groups, government officials, and corporate leaders

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 10% of the time
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

Compensation

Salary Range: $62,000 $91,071 USD annually

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus
