JJob Title: Solar Installer
About us: Energy Select is a leading renewable energy company dedicated to providing sustainable solar solutions to residential and commercial customers. We have been installing solar for the past 8 years and we are proud to have a team of experienced electricians and installers that are ready to train individuals who are willing to learn. We have recently opened a branch in Western, Maryland and are looking for dedicated team players to help grow.
Position Overview: We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Solar Installers. As a Solar Installer, you will play a crucial role in the installation, assembly, and maintenance of solar energy systems. No prior experience in the solar or electrical field is required; comprehensive training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation and assembly of solar panels, racking systems, and other components according to established guidelines and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with experienced technicians to ensure accurate placement and alignment of solar modules, inverters, and electrical systems.
- Safely handle tools, equipment, and materials, adhering to safety guidelines at all times.
- Support the team in troubleshooting and resolving minor issues that may arise during installation or maintenance activities.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, both on the installation site and in the warehouse.
- Participate in training sessions to develop a solid understanding of solar energy systems, electrical components, and installation techniques.
- Learn about local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes related to solar installations.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to high standards.
- Assist with quality control inspections to ensure all systems are installed accurately and meet company standards.
Qualifications:
- MUST be comfortable with heights and working on roofs, please seriously consider this before applying.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills.
- Physical fitness and capability to lift, carry, and manipulate heavy objects as required.
- Teamwork and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Compensation:
- Base pay starts $17 per hour without prior industry or electrical knowledge
