About The Team
The Grid & Growth Strategy Team has three primary functions, each led by a sub-team (1) Growth Strategy – Facilitate the creation and implementation of AES Renewables’ growth plan for each region of the US, (2) Transmission Strategy – Anticipate what locations on the electric grid are more or less likely to be feasible locations for interconnection, and (3) Interconnection – facilitation of AES’ 100s of grid interconnection requests.
About The Role
This role has two main buckets: (A) Administration, and (B) Analysis. The administrative work includes management of payments through SAP and AES’s payment approval process, contract management, team coordination, and other administrative functions. The Analytical work includes research and analysis related to the electric grid and energy markets drivers.
The administrative work is not expected to typically consume a full-time work-load, and your remaining time will be dedicated to research/analytical work that can help achieve the team’s mission.
You will report to the Vice President of Grid & Growth Strategy. You will provide support to all three sub-teams: Growth Strategy, Transmission Strategy, and Interconnection. The intended job title is “Sr. Analyst, Grid & Growth Strategy”.
