Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for an Offshore Construction Manager on a 12 months initial contract, based in North East.
Role Summary
- Reporting to the Installation Package Manager. The Offshore Construction Manager is responsible for the construction operations on the wind turbine installation vessel, keeping the project running safely and hitting critical milestones on time.
- Promote company EHS culture during operations, empowering the teams to speak up freely of any issues.
- Monitor and drive wind turbine assembly activities on daily basis.
- The OCM will be on a 12hr day shift 3/3 weeks rotation – subject to vessel operations and at the discretion of operations. It is necessary to be flexible and understand rotation patterns may vary based on operations.
- As OCM you will be oversee company vessel management and installation team, working in close collaboration with the lifting supervisor, installation supervisor, M&E supervisor and Commissioning Supervisor. You will report progress, compose DPRs. Report non-conformities and ensure the safety of the team.
- Help improving company procedures, supporting updating, and writing work procedures. You are to ensure the company offshore construction operations are kept on the critical path, ensuring optimal time frames are kept, with the safe execution of the offshore construction work scopes.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge in the construction/ installation of Offshore Wind Turbines is mandatory.
- Minimum 2 years experience as Offshore Construction Manager of WTG installation
- 10 years offshore experience
- IT literate with extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- NEBOSH General certification or equivalent (IOSH)
- FUET or BOSIT.
- GWO Working & Rescue.
- GWO – 5 basic elements
