Job Description Idaho Laboratory is hiring a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to work in our Fleet Maintenance department. Our team works a 4×10 schedule located out of our Central Facilities with every Friday off. You will provide oversight and direction of INL’s Fleet Maintenance Services. Your direct reports will include vehicle repair coordinators, mechanic inspectors, and associated support staff. You will report directly to the manager of Fleet Operations. Responsibilities Include:
  • Contribute technical expertise and resources to INL’s efforts to implement sustainable fleet management practices and technologies, such as the use of alternative fuel vehicles, next- engines and emission controls, the implementation of vehicle allocation methodology, and advanced fleet management software.
  • Participate in associated bargaining unit working groups negotiations of Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) and United Steel Worker (USW) collective bargaining negotiations.
  • Collaborate with several external entities, including other laboratories, General Services Administration, DOE Fleet Managers, regional transportation, fleet networks/alliances (non-governmental organizations), and alternative fuel systems manufacturers and distributors.
  • Provide immediate management to a unit or group of employees/ Maintains schedules and workflow of the team/ Assign tasks and monitor work at frequent intervals.
  • Manage the activities of non-exempt or represented staff with accountability for results regarding costs, strategies, and employees.
  • Direct your team on a course of action based on knowledge of established policies, procedures, and federal regulations.
  • Monitor projects to ensure completion and within budget and provide input and contribute to managing costs.
  • First level of management with human resources (hiring/performance management/pay action, etc.) responsibilities.

Qualifications: Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicable Bachelor’s degree and five years of experience, or a high school diploma or equivalent and 11 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • Experience managing or working with represented staff.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy “L” clearance, which requires US Citizenship.

Job Information

  • The target pay range for this position is $81,772 – $124,892 annually. The full pay range is $76,980 – $177,036. At Idaho Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.
  • You are required to show a demonstrated commitment to valuing and contributing to an inclusive working environment.
  • TDP: This is a testing designated position; you will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and periodic drug testing throughout the term of your employment.
