Job Description Idaho Laboratory is hiring a Construction Program Manager to work in our Special Reactors Concepts department. Our team works a 9×80 schedule located out of our EROB facility with every other Friday off. Responsible for construction activities that help deliver nuclear reactors and technology associated with defense and security applications. The responsibilities of this position include the following: Management of schedule, budget, deliverables, project and programmatic interfaces with construction contractors, federal and private customers. Responsibilities Include:
  • Interface with DOD, DOE-ID, department manager and business execution program manager to develop and understand program objectives/expectations and priorities.
  • Develop and implement strategies for accomplishing work scope within program constraints and optimizing performance. Interface and coordinate efforts across INL directorates and support organizations.
  • Develop acquisition strategies, statements of work, and contract requests.
  • Establish and maintain a life-cycle schedule and budget. Oversee the development of execution year and out-year budgets, including work scope, cost estimates and schedules.
  • Identify and oversee accomplishment of milestones, notable outcomes, and other performance metrics.
  • Guide work package managers in the analysis of cost and schedule performance.
  • Take actions to ensure work is accomplished within budget, schedule and quality assurance requirements and meet other program management expectations.
  • Establish performance goals and hold individuals accountable towards those goals.

Qualifications: Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in construction management or related degree plus 9 years of related experience, or a relevant advanced degree and 6 years of experience.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy “Q” clearance, which requires US Citizenship.

Job Information

  • The pay range for this position is: ($109,260 – $223,908). At Idaho Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.
  • You are required to show a demonstrated commitment to valuing and contributing to an inclusive working environment.
  • TDP: This is a testing designated position; you will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and periodic drug testing throughout the term of your employment.
