Job Description


Airswift is seeking a number of Commissioning Specialists to work on a 12-months extendable assignment in California, for a major utility and power company.

Job Responsibilities

Commissioning activities include inspections, performance testing, troubleshooting, negotiating final compliance with AHJ’s to achieve placed in service status, and writing the commissioning reports. The successful candidate will have a depth of experience in power systems, start-up activities, compliance, and testing, and they’ll have experience managing multiple projects at a time in different progress stages.

Key duties

  • Researching the commissioning needs for each project.
  • Establishing and Communicating commissioning steps to the project team to develop schedules.
  • Working at sites to perform inspections and system performance testing.
  • Communicating and leading efforts to solve problems with equipment that may occur during start-up.
  • Completing the commissioning reports to submit to 3rd Parties, AHJ’s, and internal records.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Experience in outdoor construction
  • Experience in renewable energy technology
  • Experience in storage system technology
  • Experience with control systems and programming controllers
  • Experience with HVAC systems
  • Experience with IT communications protocols and tools
  • Proficiency with MS Office Tools: Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, and Schedule
  • Hands on experience with wiring, assembly of mechanical machinery, and operating test equipment
  • Possess understanding of construction and engineering principles
  • OSHA 10 Certification and NEC70E Certification are a plus.
  • Professional Engineering License a plus.
