Responsibilities
This individual will primarily be responsible for: designing and producing sets of plans for electrical systems including solar, battery storage, electric vehical charging and building electrical
Participate on project teams in an active production role
Participate in project meetings internally and externally with clients
Preparation of project specifications
Preparation of electrical construction cost estimates
Daily interaction and collaboration on cross-functional teams across multiple disciplines
Coordination and verification of as-built drawings
Perform quality work that promotes client retention
Responsible for the development of reports and design documents, including solar photovoltaic electrical site plans, equipment selection, photovoltaic module string sizing calculations, ampacity calculations and wire sizing
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (Associates degree )
3+ years of design experience in Electrical Engineering specifically in any of the following: Solar PV design, Battery Energy Storage, or Energy Modeling
Advanced knowledge and proficiency in AutoCAD
Understanding of the Electrical Code, other NFPA codes/standards, energy codes
Previous experience with solar production modeling is a plus
Previous experience with electrical solar photovoltaic design or battery storage is a plus
Passion for renewables
Building Information Modeling (BIM – Autodesk Revit) experience is a plus
Electrical power, lighting, and fire alarm design experience
Superior verbal and written communication skills
The ability to work independently or in a team environment effectively
The ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment
Detail oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starter
Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and desire to learn
Salary Range
$60,000 – $80,000
