Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Compliance Inspector to oversee and manage environmental compliance across multiple construction sites in Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting inspections, maintaining compliance with state and local regulations, and ensuring all environmental standards are met to protect both the company and natural resources.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed inspections of solar construction sites based on the rules and regulations set forth by the Department of Environmental Protection and Pennsylvania Erosion & Sediment Control Manual
  • Maintain and organize SWPPP documentation (Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans)
  • Prioritize tasks based on urgency, weather conditions, contractual obligations, and regulatory deadlines.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with state and county officials.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to address and rectify erosion and other environmental issues using knowledge of Pennsylvania Erosion & Sediment Control Manual and BMPs (Best Management Practices).
  • Adhere strictly to all relevant environmental laws and permitting requirements.
  • Identify and promptly report any environmental concerns to the environmental compliance manager and site manager.
  • Willing to travel extensively across Pennsylvania, including overnight stays, to meet the demands of site coverage
  • Self-sufficient in managing priorities and time to ensure all tasks are completed without being micromanaged

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and social skills
  • Basic technology skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Physically capable of walking long distances in various outdoor conditions
