Qualified candidates will support the DOE’s Industrial Efficiency and Decarbonization Office (IEDO) and Advanced Materials and Manufacturing Office (AMMTO) with analysis, research, reporting and R&D program support.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Data-related research for industrial energy and emissions analysis
- As an example of industry sectors of study please see these Manufacturing Energy and Carbon Footprints and Manufacturing Energy Bandwidth Studies (produced by Energetics for DOE)
- Strategic program management support, including multi-year program planning
- Expert insights on market opportunities
- R&D technology research, including synthesizing technical information for various audiences
- Advise on industry-related market opportunities
- Planning and implementing stakeholder engagement programs and workshop support (domestic and international); supporting in person and virtual meetings with clients and stakeholders
- R&D data collection and management, project-level and program-level
- Prepare and present technology and programmatic reports, presentations, briefings
- Work closely with program managers and co-workers in a fast-paced collaborative team environment
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (engineering or science)
- 10 years’ work experience (including internships) in a relevant field or, 6-8 years’ experience plus a master’s or doctoral degree
- Leadership experience
- Industry experience (including internships)
- Interest in energy efficiency and clean energy
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal)
- Strong analytical (quantitative and qualitative), problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
- Excellent organization and time management skills, including ability to multi-task
- Attention to detail
- Successful when working on self-managed tasks
- Team player and self-starter
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Preferred Requirements
- Project and/or program management experience
- Model and tool development
- Contract and task management activities and tracking
- Knowledge of energy efficiency or energy management systems in industrial or commercial facilities
- Experience in government consulting, supporting government organizations, public-private partnerships, or stakeholder engagement
- Experience facilitating a working group, including developing agendas and running web meeting platforms, e.g., Teams, Zoom, WebEx
- Proficient in database development and Microsoft Access
- Proficient in programming languages, Python, C#, C++, etc.

$115,400.00 - $130,000 / year
