Founding Product Engineer (Senior/Lead/Principal/Director level)

Who are we? An electricity exchange for the energy transition. ElectronX™ is a new electricity market designed to enable precision risk management, volatility hedging opportunities, and the monetization of power assets for all energy market participants. As a CFTC-regulated financial exchange (subject to approval), ElectronX will offer derivatives products that capture the intraday price fluctuations of our rapidly changing electrical grid—helping to smooth the financial path of clean energy adoption across the nation.

What will you be doing?

• Collaborate with Head of Product: Work hand-in-hand with our Head of Product to take our UI from a 0 to 1 state.
• Full-Stack Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing full-stack systems using React.
• Component and Library Development: Develop and maintain reusable, modular, and well-documented frontend components and libraries.
• Troubleshooting and Debugging: Troubleshoot and debug complex frontend issues, ensuring cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.
• Data Consistency: Collaborate with the core engineering team to ensure accuracy and consistency of data.
• Best Practices Adoption: Drive the adoption of best practices in testing, deployment, and design, understanding you are building the foundation for a demanding future.

What we need from you?

• Proven Product Development: Successfully taken a new product from start to finish with a track record of high quality and high RPM output.
• Leadership: Led high-performing teams to achieve ambitious goals.
• Technical Expertise: Mastery of JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
• Database Experience: Proficient with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.
• Web Design: Unparalleled understanding of high-performance web design and cross-browser compatibility.
• API Integration: Extensive experience integrating frontend components with backend APIs.
